Pradeep Mukerjee
Pradeep Mukerjee has over 26 years of experience in Human Resource Management
and Organizational Development in various multi-national and Indian organizations spanning information technology, finance and manufacturing industries. Since April 2007, he has been consulting in the area of organizational and leadership alignment and effectiveness.
His consulting assignments include work with an organization in the infrastructure sector to define their mission, vision and values, selecting senior managers for the organization and setting the human resources functional roadmap. He is also an Executive Coach and has coached senior executives in various organizations belonging to a wide cross section of industries like health care, information technology, ITES, capital markets, logistics. He has also worked with a family organization in defining roles and responsibilities of the family members and professional managers as they transition from a family owned and managed business to a professionally managed organization while retaining family control and involvement. He is also regularly invited to the Indian School of Business (ISB) as an Executive Coach on their leadership program for top managers.
Pradeep has worked in Middle East and United States during the course of his career. In his last assignment, he headed Human Resource function for Citigroup’s different businesses in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh covering banking, consumer finance, BPO, KPO, brokerage and technology infrastructure space in ten different legal vehicles.
Pradeep’s experience includes setting up the HR function in organizations, enabling creation of high performing work organizations, facilitating visioning for organizations, in-depth assessment and development of leadership talent, coaching and career counseling, re-engineering HR processes, and introducing and managing appropriate interventions for enhancing organizational effectiveness.
Pradeep began his career with Tata Consultancy Services where he played a key role as coordinator for the allocation of manpower to TCS’s projects worldwide. He has worked with Asian Paints dealing with industrial relations. His first assignment with Citigroup was as Head of HR for Citicorp Overseas Software Ltd. (COSL) where he worked with the senior management team in setting up a company recognized as a premium software organization in the mid-nineties, setting up the precursor to i-flex and growing the organization. He then headed human resources for Citibank in UAE & Gulf, post which he moved to work with the Executive Resources group of Citigroup in New York. His assignment in New York involved working on leadership identification, assessment and development for Citigroup’s top talent globally.
Pradeep is a post graduate in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations (from TISS), a graduate from IIT Kharagpur and is also an alumni of Kellogg School of management where he completed an executive development program. He chaired the Conference Board’s Human Resources council in India in 2006. He is a Certified Professional Coach certified by International Coach Academy of the US.
